Whatever you are going through today - this is your encouragement to keep going.
I climbed Mt Kilimanjaro for my 40th birthday. It was a life changing experience, but not because I reached the top. It was significant because of the lessons I learnt on the journey and the community I connected with along the way.
I fell down and I got up again. Each new day bought its own challenges, but I was able to find the strength to keep walking - by focussing simply on what was needed from me, one day at a time. And i discovered in the darkest of times, there is always kindness to be found. Some days I provided the light for others, and other days I looked for the light in someone else.
It's not easy to be challenged in life, but it's in these difficult times we are changed.
The mountains will always be different, but we can become a survival guide for others...
As they say in Tanzania as you climb the mountain - "pole pole" which translates as slowly, slowly... one step at a time... just keep going.
